Baseball at D-Y is taken very seriously. Coach Funk is dedicated to making his baseball season a winning season. Our season starts in the middle of February we're all in the weight room and preparing for this upcoming season. Coach Funk also has the lower gym at D-Y with a batting cage that we put up so we can hit in the gym and "get our reps in" as he says. the Varsity baseball team hold clinics on Friday nights from 4-8 for the little league ball players. Coach Funk has his varsity players there so the little leaguers can learn from the best and build their baseball skills to the best of their ability. At D-Y, we have one of the best high school varsity baseball fields in the state, home to the Y-D Red Sox, which is one of the teams in the summer league for college players.
